WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TALENT AND SKILLS?

For me, a talented person is a gifted person.Talent is usually an innate ability to do something and it is the natural aspect that needs a little nudge to realize. While skills is a learned ability to do something and it requires investment of a lot of time. Talent occurs in a few people while a whole multitude can have a skill to do something.

Your talent dictates your moment-by-moment reactions to your environment -- there's instinctiveness, immediacy implied. Talent results in consistently recurring patterns of thought or behaviour. To deviate from those patterns requires conscious effort, and such deviations are difficult to sustain.

Knowledge and skills, on the other hand, imply learned behaviour, actions that require more active cognitive processing. What you know reveals more about your experiences and education than about who you are at the core. Behaviour derived from knowledge and skills can be changed far more easily than talent-based behaviour, as new information subordinates old in an individual's consciousness.

Talent can't be subordinated. It's constant and enduring. That's what makes it talent. Understanding the difference between the two sources of behaviourchanges everything.
